What You'll Need
Material cutting

Operating a horizontal bandsaw is a pretty easy task. Here are a few things that you will need to keep in mind as well as the steps that can help guide you through your next project.

Step 1 - Prepare Material

Begin by lining up the material and clamp the material in place. Make sure that you have both sides lined up.

Step 2 - Adjust the Blade

Once you have lined up your material, you can adjust the blade to make sure that it is in line. If the coolant needs any changes, now is the time to do so.

Step 3 - Cut

Unlock the arm to the bandsaw and allow it to move across your material. Work through the material slowly and watch to make sure that nothing is moving. Then, after it is cut, lock the arm again so that it won't move and then clean up any of the debris that came out of the machine while you were working.

Follow these instructions for each piece of material that you need to cut for your project. make sure to lock the arm after changing each piece. While you are working, watch out for your hands so that you do not wind up cutting yourself.
