It is important to know how to remove your old vent cover should you want to replace it, decorate it or put a filter in. It is not difficult at all to remove your vent cover or to put one back on. You will simply need to have the right tools and a little bit of time.
Step 1 – Use A Screwdriver
The first thing that you will need to do is take a good look at the vent cover screws that are along the top. There will only be 2 that you will have to deal with. See if you will need a Philips head screwdriver or a flathead screwdriver. Not all vent cover screws are the same so make sure that you know for sure which screwdriver you will need for this task.
Step 2 – Dealing with Stripped Screws
If you happen to be dealing with screws that are stripped, then you will need to make sure that you are able to get some needle nose pliers. You will need to grip the screw and turn it counterclockwise until you have it removed.
Step 3 – Final Removal
Make sure that you have a place to keep your screws whenever you have removed them so that they do not get lost.
