Dried paint can be hard to remove from any surface, let alone glass panels. Using the right tools and techniques, you can remove paint from your glass easily and effectively, without damaging the glass.
Step 1 - Apply Vinegar
Apply a generous coating of vinegar to stain, and let the vinegar soak into the paint stain for at least 5 minutes, softening the paint and preparing glass for removal.
Step 2 - Scrape Paint
Apply another coating of vinegar before scraping. Hold a razor blade at a 45-degree angle and begin to slowly and gently work paint off of the glass, taking care not to press too hard.Try to wedge the razor edge behind the paint and press down and out, minimized the scraping action.
Step 3 - Rinse and Repeat
Rinse any excess paint from the surface of the glass and repeat the scraping motion on stubborn pieces of paint. Feel free to use more vinegar as you deem necessary. Remember to always lift the blade away from the glass between strokes to prevent excessive scratching of the glass.
Step 4 - Clean Glass
Clean glass panels with professional quality glass cleaner to remove remaining traces of paint and vinegar.
