The window of a car is the place likely to be stuck with stickers and the dilemma it carries is how to remove stickers from car windows. The paper part of the sticker may easily be removed but the adhesive material at the back that is directly in contact with the window surface is the hardest to take out.

However, there are ways to remove these from windows without creating damage on the glass surface. There are both products sold in the market and homemade cleaning formulas that would be effective in cleaning off sticker marks from windows. Below are the materials that you need along with the instructions on how to remove stickers from your car window.

Step 1 - Peeling off the Sticker From the Glass Window

Strip off as much of the sticker from the glass window of the car by hand. For the harder part of the sticker to remove, make use of a sharp razor blade to lightly scrape it off in a single direction. If the blade of the razor is dull, it will likely damage the glass surface where the sticker is stuck.

Step 2 - Mixture of Soap and Water

Fill a bucket with hot water and add a few drops of dish soap. Thoroughly combine the mixture of soap and water.

Step 3 - Cleaning Sticker Residue

Soak a rag into the soapy water mixture and rub this on the sticky area of the glass window to totally take out the sticker deposits. Wipe the area after with a rag and plain water then dab dry it using a dry cloth.

Step 4 - Using Mixture of Liquid Fabric Softener and Hot Water

If the sticker residue still can not be removed, try to mix equal parts of liquid fabric softener to hot water in a bucket. Thoroughly combine the mixture. With a rag, dip this in the solution of the liquid fabric softener and hot water and wipe it over the spot where the sticker was stuck.

Step 5 - Using Sharp Razor Blade

If while scrubbing the glass window with the solution and the sticker residue is still not removed, use a sharp razor blade to carefully scrape the adhesive portion of the sticker that is still left in the spot of the glass window.

Step 6 - Using Denatured Alcohol

If for some reason the sticker residue particular the adhesive part of the sticker is still not removed, the use of denatured alcohol may do the trick of removing it completely. Wet a paper towel with denatured alcohol and use this soaked material to rub off the sticker residue from the glass window. Continue the removal process with a sharp razor blade to scrape off the remaining sticker residue. Clean up the glass window with a cloth and plain water. Follow-up after by wiping the spot dry with a cloth.
