Mix the borax power and the lemon juice till you get a paste like consistency. Brush the well water stains with the paste in circular motion. Brush for a couple of minutes and thereafter let it dry. After it has dried, wash it away with water. Use a sponge to rub the area to get rid of the residues.
Step 7 – Pumice Stone
Sometimes the soft bristles on a brush do not help in removing the stains. In this case a pumice stone will prove to be more efficient while dealing with stubborn well water stains. Be careful, as a pumice stone is hard and if too much force is applied it can leave scratches.
Step 8 – Stain on Clothes
Well water has the tendency to stain clothes as well. Don't toss the stained clothes out, as there is a basic home remedy in the form of lemon juice.
Step 9 – The Method
In a bucket pour a bottle of lemon juice. Place the cloth in this water and let the lemon juice work its magic for approximately 15 minutes. The cloth has to be completely covered with lemon juice.
Step 10 – Washing Machine
After 15 minutes rinse the cloth in warm water and toss it in the washing machine. The detergent and drying will eliminate any the stain.
Step 11 – Stubborn Stains
For the well water stains that have been on your clothes for a long time it would be better if you use a rust remover liquid.

Use the rust remover liquid along with the detergent and bleach. This will surely remove the well water stains.
