What You'll Need
Water tank sensor
Cloth
Cleaning solvent
Screwdriver

If you have a water level sensor in your RV water tanks which is no longer working, then you may want to replace it quickly. Replacing these kinds of water tank monitors is not too difficult, as they are usually easy to remove and re-attach. You could find the right kind of replacement sensor for your RV water tanks in most mobile home supply stores.

Step 1 - Remove the Old Sensor

Park your RV in a flat surface and put on the hand brake. You should then empty out your RV water tank and make sure that the RV is completely motionless. You will need to get under the RV in order to remove the water tank. Open up the tank, and unscrew the sensor from the side. You should then remove the wire connections of the sensor by pressing the tab at the back and pulling it towards you. You can then remove the sensor.

Step 2 - Install the New Sensor

Take the new sensor out of the packaging and place it in the sensor holder. Screw it back into place using a screwdriver. Replace the electric connections by pushing the tab into the relevant hole. You should then reattach the water tank and check that the sensor is working by filling the tank with water and emptying it.
