Replacing boat trailer tires is easy, if you know what to do and have the right equipment to do it. There are only few simple steps you need to follow to change boat trailer tires on your own.

Step 1: Placing the Jack

The first thing you need to do, is place the jack underneath the boat trailer. Jack the boat trailer up, until the tire is a few inches from the ground. Make sure that the jack is place securely, secure with jack stand so that no untoward accident will occur once you start working on the tires.

Step 2: Removing the Nuts

Using the lug nut wrench, remove all the lug nuts that hold the tires in place. Set aside these lug nuts for later use.

Step 3: Removing the Tires from the Boat Trailer

Once the lug nuts are unscrewed, remove the tires from the boat trailer, and set them aside. Remove all the air from the boat trailer tires by removing the valve core.

Step 4: Removing the Tires from the Wheel

To do this, put the tire on its side, and slide the tire iron under the lip of the tires. Pry the tire off by moving the tire iron upwards. Continue working the boat trailer tires until you have them completely off of the wheel.

Step 5: Replacing the Tire

Put the new tire on top of the wheel and pry the lip of the tires to the edge of the wheel. Once the tire is in place, replace valve core and use an air compressor to fill up the tires with air. Replace the boat trailer tires on the trailer. Lower jack.
