What You'll Need
New hinge

If you find that your old cabinet is difficult to move, and creaks or groans, you may consider replacing the cabinet door hinges. The cabinet hinge is probably the hardest part of the door to get access to, so you will need to be prepared to remove the whole door.

Step 1 - Remove the Old Hinges

In order to take off the old hinges, you will need to remove the door. This can be done by simply opening it, and then unscrewing the door. You may also be able to just lift it off of the hinge, depending upon the type of cabinet that you have. Once you can access the hinge, take your screwdriver, and remove the hinge from the body of the cabinet.

Step 2 - Add the New Hinges

Once the old hinges are history, you can add the new ones in their place. If the hinges were perfectly aligned, screw the new ones into the same place in the cabinet. Once this is done, upon up the hinge, and then screw on the door. You will probably find that there is a slight stain on both cabinet and door which can help you to position the hinge.
