Replacing your motorhome shocks for sway bars can make life on the road a bit easier. You might want to replace your motorhome shocks for sway bars especially if you are on the road most of the time. To help you install sway bars into your motorhome, follow these easy steps.

Step 1 – Remove the Motorhome Shocks

To remove the shocks, you need to lift the rear of the motorhome using a floor jack then stabilize the vehicle. Use a pair of jack stands. Once the vehicle is in position, loosen the bolts and remove the wheels. Loosen the nuts and bolts that are holding the shocks in place and then remove the shocks.

Step 2 – Install the Sway Bar

Drill holes on the side of frame rail located along the rear axle of the vehicle. Then put one long bolt on one side of the frame rail before you attach the sway bar. Once the long bolt is in place, attach the sway bar using bolts and washers on each end of the bar. Tighten the bolts on the ends of the bar then adjust the suspension screw located on the sway bar.
