What You'll Need
Rolling screen door

Roll away screen storm doors are great for those who want to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors without inviting bugs and other pests in to your home. When not in use, the screen can be rolled away and stays out of the way. These are commonly seen on patios, RV's, and anytime a temporary screen door needs to be used.

Step 1 - Start at the Bottom

A roll away screen door should have a bar along the bottom portion of the screen. This serves a few purposes. It will weigh down the screen while in use and will allow you to roll the screen up tightly. Start at the bottom of the door when you are rolling the screen up.

Step 2 - Roll Evenly

You want to go slowly and roll evenly as you roll up the screen. This will allow you to keep the screen in place as you roll it away. If you don't keep the screen tight as you roll, you'll have a messy bundle to contend with later.

Step 3 - Secure the Screen

The rolling screen storm doors will typically have 2 or 3 fasteners at the top of the door. The screen should be placed in these fasteners once it's rolled up. These will keep the screen secure when it's been rolled away.
