Carefully wipe them with a cloth to remove any particles that may be in place. You may find that some varieties have numbers etched on them for this purpose. If not, lay them out on a piece of paper with each one labeled with a number.

Press the blade to the sandpaper at a 45 degree angle and move it across the surface in a circular or figure of eight motion. This will help you to ensure that the blade edge is sharpened in a uniform manner. Repeat this around ten times. After completing the process, carefully wipe away any particles that have been produced.
Step 4 – Finish
Remove the sheet of 120 grit sandpaper and replace it with the 600 grit, using the same method that was previously utilized to fix it in place. Work the meat grinder blades across the surface in the same figure of eight or circular shape. Repeat this around four times. This step with help to smooth the sharpened blade edge for a clean finish. Complete the process by rinsing the blades in clean water and leaving them to dry before installing them back into the grinder in the correct order.
