Soldering iron pipe fittings can be a tricky task if you have never tried before. Basically, soldering will help you to attach the pipe fittings together. Here are a few tools that you will need, along with some steps to help guide you through the process.

Step 1 - Prepare

You may find yourself having to cut and prepare the fittings so that they can be soldered. Use the clips as well as wire cutters and tube cutter to shape down any iron pipe fittings that need to be altered. You will also want to use a cloth to clean the ends that you will be soldering so they can be attached together.

Step 2 - Solder

Use the soldering iron to attach the fittings together. To do this, apply the soldering flux on the area that needs to be attached, between the pipe and fittings. Then, use the heated torch to solder the area and attach them together. Be extra careful throughout this step, especially if you have never done it before. The solder will become hard as it begins to cool down.
