How to Use a Copper Pipe Repair Clamp How to Use a Copper Pipe Repair Clamp
A copper pipe repair clamp is a great tool to use for very small leaks in a copper pipe. It is a very basic tool and is very easy to use, even for someone who has little to no knowledge of plumbing. It is a great tool to use when you do not want to spend the money on hiring a plumber to fix a fairly small hole in your pop. It can be installed in just a few minutes.
Step 1 - Choose Your Clamp
You will need to find a clamp that is in the correct size you need. This will depend on the size of your hole. You can purchase the clamp at a local hardware store.
Step 2 - Install the Clamp
Next, you will need to install the clamp. Place the clamp around the place on the pipe that has the hole. Make sure that the clamp is completely covering the hole. Next, tighten the bolts around the screws to secure the clamp in to place. It is important you do not over tighten the clamp because this can cause the copper pipe to bend. Check to make sure no water is leaking.
