Step 2 – Brush its Teeth:
Once you are done with the tang bit (which means rasping over the surface), make sure you brush your rasp’s teeth and leave it in its given handle so that it does not rust away. Also, make sure you hold the rasp by its tail or handle. Now place the rasp against the surface where you want the curve to form. Make sure that you remove the sawdust from the rasp often with a brush. Please blow or wipe the sawdust off of the block so that you can see your progress.
Step 3 – Push in Desired Direction
Now that you have started using your rasp, push it in the desired direction and do not pull back at all. Always keep pushing the rasp in a single direction because that will keep the teeth sharper for longer durations and usage. Cleaning teeth can help keep the bristles sharp and better to use.
