If you do a lot of cooking and are constantly looking through your cupboards for the right pot, then adding a pot rack to your kitchen could make your time spent preparing meals easier. Pot rack hooks not only keep your pots visible and within reach, but they also add a nice stylish touch to your kitchen décor.

Before You Buy
Because pot rack hooks are hung from your ceiling and need to support quite a bit of weight, they should only be installed on ceiling joists. Before buying your pot rack, measure how far apart your joists are. Different sized pot racks are used for different joist spacing.

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installation. If you don’t and the pot rack falls, causing injury or damaging your kitchen, the manufacturer won’t be liable.

Install Your Pot Rack
Mark on the ceiling joists where you will be attaching the ceiling hooks, and then drill pilot holes on the spots, making sure that the holes aren’t bigger than the hooks. Screw in the hooks.

Hang the pot rack chains from the ceiling screws. Next, hang the pot rack from the chains. Since pot racks can be heavy, you may need the help of a second person.

Once the pot rack is hanging, you can start hanging pots on it.
