Installing glass suspended shelves can be an excellent aesthetic addition to your drywall. This article will demonstrate installing a corner glass suspended shelf using the tongue and groove method.

Step 2: Measurement and Location of the Shelving Unit

You have to choose the area where there is no wiring in the wall. It is most important to measure the area correctly. If you are using a kit, you will be supplied with a template. If you are using separate parts, create your own template.

Step 3: Preparing the Installation

Mark the corner with a pencil. Draw lines on either side with a level. Use your template to mark the areas where you will make the grooves. Start the groove with a drill, then use a wall saw to cut the groove the exact size. Test the fit.

Step 4: Install the Shelf

Clean all the dust off. Apply adhesive caulking to the lines as well as inside the grooves. Insert the shelf into the grooves, and press it against the wall. Clean off excessive caulking with a damp sponge. Let it dry completely.
