Is a stepping stone or gravel path easier to install?
In terms of installation, it is much easier to install a stepping stone rather than a gravel path. When comparing the processes on how to do these pathways, you need to dig up the whole area where the gravel will go, and you have to install the proper edging as well, in order to prevent the gravel from spilling over to the other parts of your garden. As for stone paths, you just have to dig a couple of inches around the area where the stone pieces will go, pour some sand to avoid sinking and place the stone. That’s it. It is therefore much easier to install a stepping stone than a gravel path.
