Using water-based concrete driveway paint, it is easy to cover a concrete driveway, but the paint won't last, as the paint will fade quickly. Staining a concrete driveway, on the other hand, where the stain becomes part of the surface, just as paint becomes part of the surface of asphalt, is not an easy job to complete. The surface must be cleaned, you must be wearing protective clothing and the stain is applied with a special brush or roller. Like asphalt, the concrete almost pulls the stain off the brush or roller, so it makes this a tough job to complete. Asphalt, by its very nature, is stain/paint resistant, and it takes hard work to complete the job. Simple water-based paints won't do here, either.
