Is rubber edging or timber landscape edging easier to install? Is rubber edging or timber landscape edging easier to install?
Rubber edging is a popular choice among landscapers and homeowners to define edges in a garden or pathway. Though there are several edging choices, and timber has long been the standard edging, rubber edging is easier to install for the most part.
- Rubber edging just needs to be rolled out in the shape you desire and have spikes pounded in the ground to hold it down, every few inches. It easily can be made into circles and curved edgings on a path to give a nice, flowing look.
- Timber landscape edging is more linear and is better for straight edges along driveways, foundations and squared-off flower beds. It is very difficult to cut.
- Timber edgings must be cut with a saw.
