Is stone or brick garden edging easier to install?
Brick garden edging is a traditional edging that you will find in many older neighborhoods. It goes well with the classic lines of older homes, brick walkways and older trees and shrubs.
- Brick edging may be just bricks placed end to end to form an edging or barrier, or it may be bricks that are set on end in a dug-out trench to form an edging. Placing them end to end is much easier than digging them in, but the dug-in method will last much longer and give a sturdier edge.
- Stone edging is usually just stones of varying sizes laid out to surround a tree or garden edge. This edging is installed rather quickly and is easy to maintain.
