The Karcher gas pressure washer line includes a variety of models featuring a durably-built tubular steel frame, large pneumatic tires, and a convenient upright position. Karcher gas pressure washers feature one of several types of electric-start gas motor, including Honda, Subaru and Briggs & Stratton options. Gas-fueled pressure washers have the advantage of greater power than electric units, but due to their carbon monoxide emissions and noise level, they can only be used outdoors.
Power and Efficiency
Pressure washer power is measured by its PSI rating, which indicates the force applied to a surface material when cleaning it. Karcher gas pressure washers produce between 2000 and 4000 PSI, depending on the model. A pressure washer's flow rate measured in gallons per minute indicates its level of efficiency. Gas pressure washers with a flow rate from 2.0 to 3.6 GPM are available from Karcher. In terms of efficiency, the 3.6 GPM unit will work almost twice as fast as the 2.0 GPM model.
Cost and Accessories
Expect to pay between $200 and $1,000 for a new or reconditioned Karcher gas pressure washer. Gas-fueled units emit cold water only. Included with Karcher gas pressure washers are a set of quick-connect nozzles, a 25-foot wire-braided hose, and a professional-grade wand and gun.
