Always turn off the ventilation system from the main controlling panel prior to starting any dismantling and cleaning procedures.
The Filters
A ventilation system will have a filter residing within it. Remove this filter carefully so as to inspect it on a regular basis. Depending on its condition, you can determine whether to replace it or clean it. In order to clean the filter, first tap it face down so to remove any loose dust and other residues. Then, you may rinse it in a mixture of mild soap and warm water. Use a small brush to remove any persistent dirt. Rinse well with clear water and allow to dry well.
Cleaning the Inner Areas
Once the filter has been removed and cleaned you will be better able to see and access the inner areas of the ventilation system. You may use a small vacuum cleaner to absorb dust, or else wipe with a rag.
