Are you looking for a unique way to make a jewelry display at home or for your side business? Why not make it out of a PVC pipe! You can buy Polyvinyl Chloride pipe (PVC) at hardware stores, plumbing stores and home improvement stores. There come in many sizes and shapes that you can modify according to your needs.

Step 1 - Sketch the Jewelry Display

Take a piece of paper and draw the design of the jewelry display. This draft will assist you in the making process. When you are satisfied, go to the hardware store to buy your pipes such as standard t and elbows. Make sure you buy a few extra pipes just in case you make a mistake.

Step 2 - Pick a Spot

Mark the spot where the unwanted parts will be removed with a pencil. Measure the length or diameter of where you want to cut to avoid any unwanted mistakes.

Step 3 - Cut the Pipes

Use long strokes with some pressure on the hacksaw. When you are using the hacksaw, please wear protective equipment like gloves and safety glasses. You may use sandpaper to smoothen the rough edges of the sawed pipes.

Step 4 - Drill Little Holes on the Pipes

Once again for this step, wear gloves and safety glasses before using the hand drill to make little holes on the pipes. These holes are for inserting hooks that will act as a hanger for the jeweleries.

Step 5- Assemble the Pipes

Use the hot glue gun to glue the pipes and connectors together. Make sure that the hot glue gun is hot enough, otherwise the pieces will not stick properly to each other. In addition, ensure that the glue is waterproof otherwise there will be watermarks or water in between the pipes.

Step 6 - Paint the Pipes

Sometimes you may see some numbers on the pipe that indicates the length of each pipe which can be a bit of an eyesore to see. In order to hide these annoying numbers and make the stand aesthetically pleasing, get spray paint and cover the pipe in any color that you choose. Make sure to do this process outside and place some old newspapers on the floor to avoid any patches of color on the ground.

Step 7 -  Where to Put the Display?

The next step is to decide where you want to put the display. There are two ways you can put the display – the first is to make a string and attach it to the upper corners of the frame and hang it on a hook. The other way is to create a base out of any remaining pieces of pipe and attach weights onto it. An example you can make is a cross-shaped leg which can be created by using a cross-shaped connector, double-t or cross-t and 2 small pipes.
