If you have created a dollhouse as a hobby or for your children's enjoyment, you should consider creating miniature dollhouse dolls as well. Making your own dollhouse dolls is easier than you think, and can usually be completed in a few hours. So, here is a step-by-step guide on how to make your own dollhouse dolls.

Step 1 - Choose a Miniature Doll Pattern

Search for miniature doll patterns on the Internet and find one that you like. Download the pattern and print it on your computer's printer.

Step 2 - Copy the Pattern

Draw the pattern onto your used cloth pieces. Draw the head anonymous and then pin two pieces of old jersey cloth between two sheets of the cotton line material. Also draw the body section of the piece on of material that is a different color. You don’t have to be exact.

Step 3 - Sewing the Pieces

Use your sewing machine or needle and thread to sew the cloth pieces around. When sawing the pieces, leave a portion open for your polyfill fiber material.

Step 4- Turn the Doll Inside Out

Use a toothpick to turn the pieces inside out.

Step 5 - Stuff with Fiberfill

Fill all of the pieces lightly with poly fill material. Don't fill the earpieces for the pattern, and make sure to fill the neck area firmly with fill material. After you fill out the pieces, stitch the openings on the head and body.

Step 6 - Sew the Dress

Sew a piece of used cloth about that is about 1.5" x 7" in a ring and then stitch a hem into it. Then, create a waistline by folding the material about one quarter of an inch to the inside. Create gathers and then stitch the dress to the body. Wrap a piece of ribbon around the waist section and tie a bow in the back.

Step 7 - Stick On the Hair

Cut a piece of yarn to an appropriate length to use as the hair for your doll, and then use a single piece of yarn to wrap around the middle of the length and tie a small knot. This will create hair with pigtails. Then, use tacky glue to glue it to the head section of the doll.

Step 8- Paint the Face

Use paint or a felt tip pen to paint eyes, a nose and a mouth on your doll's face. Next, use rouge to blush the cheeks of the doll.

Step 9 - Attach the Arms and Legs

Close the openings in the arms and legs and then stitch them to the body. Angle the arms and legs so that they are in the position you wish to portray.

Step 10 - Attach the Head

Sew the ears to the head section. Then, attach the head section to the neck. Make sure to use large stitches that go all the way through the filling of the head and neck area.

Step 11 - Create and Place the Hat

First, cut a four-inch circle from used fabric. Apply glue to the edge of the fabric to prevent fraying. Gather about 1 inch inside the edge and then place the fabric on top of the doll's head and glue lightly. Finally, tie a ribbon around the gathers.
