This article will discuss the tools and materials as well as the steps necessary to make an extension brush for your no clog gutters.

Step 1: Measure the Distance from the Ground to the Gutters

Take a ladder and a tape measure and measure the distance from the ground to the inside of your no clog gutters. The purpose of the extension brush is to allow you to reach the no clog gutters from the ground without the use of a ladder. The measurements will let you know how long of a brush and brush extension that you need in order to accomplish this.

Climb up on the ladder and measure down from the inside of the gutter to the ground. Simple hold the end of the tape measure and let it drop straight to the ground. Climb down the ladder and look to see what the distance is to the ground. Record this number and take the measurement for a second time. This will give you an idea of the length of the pole needed to reach the non clog gutters.

Step 2: Purchase Materials Needed to Make Extension Brush

You will need to go to a hardware store or home improvement center in order to find the materials needed to build your extension brush. You need to look for a brush handle that has both a male and female end that will allow you to screw the poles together. A female end has screw threads that go inward while a male end has threads that are on the outside.

With the poles, purchase a gutter brush attachment that will fit on the end of the pole extensions that you are buying.

Step 3: Assemble the Extension Brush

It is more than likely that you will need to purchase 2 extension poles in order to adequately reach the no clog gutters with the brush. Assemble the sections of the extension pole and place the brush head in place.

Step 4: Test the Extension Brush

With the extension brush completely assembled, you will need to make sure that you can use it without problems. Lift the brush to the gutter and use it to sweep the inside of the gutter. If you are able to do this successfully, you have completed this task.
