These foods ease the process of digestion and also provide great nutrition and protection against disease. Several studies have shown the benefits of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Such a diet reduces the risk of deadly diseases such as cancer, heart disease and stroke.
Consume sources of protein such as chicken, soy and eggs. These foods reduce fat content in the body and help build muscle mass. Essential fatty acids are also important to digestive health. Flax seeds are a great source of fiber and help in the cleansing process. Nuts such as almonds and walnuts are also great choices for this purpose.
