When removing acrylic adhesive from a surface the best tips are to work carefully and completely to remove the adhesive and use the proper adhesive remover for the job.
Working Carefully
Working carefully and completely simply means taking your time when you are removing the acrylic adhesive from the surface in which it is adhered to. Scrape around the edges of the material that is affixed with the acrylic adhesive, taking care not to tear or rip the material during the process. In some instances, a heat application such as that from a steam iron applied to the surface of the material may be what is needed to remove the material cleanly and avoid leaving behind too much residue.
Use a Recommended Acrylic Adhesive Remover
With the material lifted up and removed from the surface, use an approved acrylic adhesive remover to wipe the surface clean. The remover should be able to remove all evidence of the adhesive including all of the sticky residue that is typically left behind.
