Replacing Louvered Fence Panels Replacing Louvered Fence Panels
Louvered fencing provides two advantages to the owner: ventilation and privacy. Make use of angled spacers to obtain consistency in installation of fencing panels. Replacing louvered fence panels becomes necessary when one or more of the fence panels is broken or damaged.
Step 1 – Remove the Damaged Panel
Use a pry bar or the screwdriver to get out the damaged piece out.
Step 2 – Measure the Replacement Panel
Use a tape measure to get the exact measurements of the replacement panel. To cut the correct length, use a skill saw.
Step 3 – Identify the Replacement Location
You need to know exactly where to mount your replacement panel. Use a tape measure to identify the distance between panels. Mark the horizontal beam to identify where to attach the panel.
Step 4 – Insert the Panel
Place the panel in the predetermined position. Hammer two nails through the beam into the top part of the panel. Repeat the same action for the beam at the bottom. The panel is now secure in place. Repeat the same procedure for all other louvered fence panels that require replacement.
