Sharp Microwave Convection Oven

Available in several sizes, finishes and styles, but all multipurpose in terms of functionality, a Sharp microwave convection oven is a versatile and powerful kitchen appliance. Providing both traditional microwave capabilities such as defrosting, reheating and quick cooking with familiar one-touch controls, Sharp microwave convection ovens include a second heating element and fan used for convection cooking. With a convection oven, baking, broiling and roasting are all more effectively accomplished. The fan circulates the heat entirely around the food, ultimately reducing cook time and increasing thoroughness.

Convection Microwave Oven Types

Sharp produces two basic types of convection microwave ovens: built-in or over-the-range units and countertop models. They also offer a 24-inch microwave drawer, an innovative approach to housing microwave technology. Built-in units are the more expensive type, costing up to $850 or more. Countertop units with convection settings range from approximately $200 up to $500. Capacities for Sharp microwaves vary from model to model. Common sizes include 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.1, 1.4, 1.5 and 2.0 cubic feet.
