Cons

  • Strength- One of the biggest drawbacks of slate tile is that it is somewhat brittle. While you will not have a lot of wear and tear on a wall tile, there is a chance that you could hit it with something at some point. When you have a brittle tile like slate, you may have to deal with chipping and breakage.
