Wallpaper can be a beautiful way to decorate the walls in your home, but sometimes you also need to do repair when wallpaper problems occur, such as a bubble in the wallpaper. Here is a list of tools and materials and instructions to do wallpaper repair when this happens.

Step 1 - Cut the Bubble

Use a damp sponge and wet the wallpaper in the area needing wallpaper repair. Carefully cut the middle of the bubble with a razor blade in the shape of a cross cut. Be sure not to press too hard so you don’t damage the wall.

Step 2 - Remove Problem Material

For the bubble use the tweezers to carefully open the flaps of the cut and then use them to remove the offending piece of material causing the bubble. Make sure you are careful so you don’t rip the paper when you are pulling it open with the tweezers.

Step 3 - Insert Adhesive

Put in the adhesive that will be used to make the wallpaper repair. The type of adhesive used is called seam adhesive and is specially made for this sort of job. Make sure you put down a little more of this adhesive than the size of the bubble area.

Step 4 - Smooth with Sponge

Now, push down the sections of the cut and smooth it out with the damp sponge. Be sure to wipe off any extra glue and then let the wallpaper repair dry.
