Cleaning glass pipe can be a confusing task if you do not know many methods. It is very simple to clean the outside of the pipe, but many people get frustrated with the dirty interior. Listed are some methods of cleaning glass pipes.

Steam Cleaner

For thicker glass pipes, it is a good method to use a home steam cleaner to spray away filth that can be wedged within the pipe, blocking the pathway. To do this, spray the steam cleaner directly into one end of the pipe, while catching debris with a paper towel on the other end. Be careful not to hold the hot steam cleaner on the glass more than a minute at a time, and use the lowest setting. Make sure to wipe both ends of the glass pipe clean when finished. This method is not recommended for thin or brittle glass pipes.

Other Cleaning Solutions

Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover are also great ways to clean glass pipes. Place the pipe carefully into a Ball Mason jar, or a container to fit the pipe into, and fill the container with either rubbing alcohol, or nail polish remover. This method is the most popular because it leaves the glass pipe looking like new.
