Replacing weed eater parts may sound daunting but it really isn't as bad as it sounds. Here are a few steps to help you replace the starter rope.
Step 1 - Disconnect
The first thing that you will need to do is disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug by pulling it out.
Step 2 - Remove Screws
There should be screws that are holding the starter near the handle. Use a screw driver to remove all of the screws and slide the old starter rope out. Make sure to keep the screws so that you can use them when you replace with the new starter rope.
Step 3 - Install New Starter Rope
Slide the new starter rope into place and then give it a small pull. Make sure that it is engaged in the crankshaft as you do this.
Step 4 - Put Back Together
Now replace the screws that you took out and plug the spark plug wire back in where you took it out of. Then you can test out the new starter rope to make sure that it is working.
These steps should help you to install your new starter rope with no problems. Good luck.
