Shower slide bars have become a popular addition to the modern bathroom. They can give your normal daily shower a spa-like feel at relatively little expense. There are different lengths and thicknesses of slidebars and the construction varies from one manufacturer to the next. The most common finish is chrome but they are available in brushed nickel, brass, brushed brass and enamel finishes. The more elaborate the bar is, the more expensive it normally is. Different slide bars come with differing hand held showers and some models come with both a hand held shower and a stationary head to give dual water pressure. Some of these have different settings such as rain, massage and aeration.
