What are the floor plan symbols for ceiling height?

The floor plan symbols that indicate height are typically an oval which contains the measurements of the ceiling’s height. For example, there may be an oval figure which contains the numbers 10’0”.  In that case the floor plan symbol indicates a ten-foot high ceiling for that section of the house. There may be other symbols that are sometimes used as well, depending upon the floor plan designer or the architect who designed the floor plans. If this is the case, though, there should be a legend somewhere in the plan set that will explain exactly what the various symbols that are used throughout the plans are intended to represent.
