Some proud owners of cars and small trucks like to make the underside of their vehicles more attractive by painting parts such as rear brake calipers, gas tank, springs, etc., on the underside of their vehicle. To paint some of these parts, you'll first need to remove any rust that has built up on them.
Gaining Access to Your Car's Underside
Safely raise your car or truck, place safe supports under it, and remove the rear wheels.
Removing Rust from Your Rear Brake Calipers
Use a stiff metal brush or scraper to remove loose or flaking rust from your calipers. Finish by sanding with a fine grade sandpaper.
