A screened porch is a roofed porch that is surrounded on 3 sides with a frame which has screens stretched around it. 1 side of the porch is attached to the wall of the house. These screens prevent insects and debris from entering the porch. The floor can be made of many different types of materials. Wooden or concrete floors are the most commonly seen and can be painted or stained in a wide variety of colors.
Ceramic tiles can be used as flooring for the porch, as well as masonry products, such as brick. Vinyl is a durable and inexpensive flooring option. Indoor/outdoor carpet is often used over wood or concrete and is relatively inexpensive.
