Definitely a challenge due to it being an older mobile home. Nothing was square, level or solid! Instead of replacing the well worn existing wallboard I chose to install new type wallboard over the old. Room is 13 x 12 with 3 doors and a double window so finding room for bed placement & bedside tables was a challenge so I the built headboard which creates space for clocks, lighting, etc. I didn't think to take real before pictures, but these will give you an idea of before & after. The wallpaper you see was over the entire room ( I actually liked it 10 yrs ago). I did 99% of the work myself with only a little help on the bookcase-headboard.New wallboard painted antique beige. New trim, window and door facings painted white. Ceiling painted white. Bookcase Headboard built from 2 unfinished tall cabinets and joined together with additional 1x12 planks with backing (painted brown). Each tall cabinet has shelves in lower section for storage. Reading lights wired thru top shelf and can be controlled separately with pull chain on each light. Relocated 2 electrical outlets before wallboard installed. Installed electrical outlet in headboard for clock/radio. Installed faux wood blinds.
