After years with a bad well we got some real life water for our yard and in the process tore up our bad lawn to run a water line. We had also removed 5 large 25 yo poplars that were dieing of old age. Decided to not to put in lawn and made a raised bed garden to have something different.
Started the project in late June and planted the garden in July. Not the best time to do this but with some tender loving care pulled it of.f Put in the bushes and such to cover the stumps of tree's and a path through the middle for looks and to make it east to work in and easy to water. Added a 1/4 irrigation system and it has really worked great. Wife picked out most of the plants and a few decoritive bird feeders. Pretty much have it full of perrenials now in its 3rd year so costs will not be much in the future. The path is only about 40 ft long but is really what made the garden nice. Grandkids treat the little path like an adventure. Hope this might give someone some ideas and you enjoy it as much as we do.
