  • Wipes (if you have mold)
  • Dust mask
  • Rubber Gloves

Summary

I first removed minimal mold dust with the wipes, then used silicon caulk to seal all wood/wood and wood/foundation connections. I then cut 2" Dow Tuff-R, foil-faced blocks to fit between the basement joists. Then I foamed them in with Great Stuff. Here's the longer story with more pictures:http://doverprojects.blogspot.com/2008/11/how-to-insulate-rim-joists.html
