Summary

This project consist of the interior finish on a Satterwhite Log Home shell. Videos of the home being erected can be seen on http://youtube.com/user/mayosdream Progress photos as well as update information can be seen on http://buildingyourdreamhome.us/interior.htm The interior stud walls are ready for insulation and finish. Plumbing, electrical, and HVAC has been completed as far as possible until walls are closed. The completion will not be accomplished quickly as I will be doing most of the work without assistance. The first floor will be porcelain tile throughout and will be completed by a tile contractor who will also install a tile shower in the bath. Custom cabinets will be built and installed by an outside contractor as will the countertop. Insulation has been installed in most of the downstairs stud walls for sound deadening. The ceiling and loft floor will receive R19 to R30 insulation. I will be installing 1x6 or 1x8 T&G planking on all walls and ceilings. A scaffold system will be required to install ceiling planks in the vaulted ceiling. I will also be fabricating an enclosure for the fireplace chimney and installing a mantle.
